This is who we are.

Our people come from a wide range of political and professional backgrounds. As individuals, they bring special skills, broad knowledge, and significant relationships to their work. As a group, there is no greater force in Pennsylvania politics.

Matt Steck Partner

It is widespread conjecture that Matt has read every bill introduced in every session of the Pennsylvania Legislature since joining the firm in 1990.  If it is not true, then he has certainly read most.  Matt has a reputation for being one of the most prepared lobbyists in the business.  His tireless, thoughtful and organized approach to lobbying proves his desire to know issues both inside and out.  When discussing a subject with Matt, you can rest assured that he is interested in clearly understanding the policy and the politics.

As a Partner at the firm, Matt is driven to ensure that Greenlee Partners continues to build upon our rich history and the principles instilled by the founding partners while maintaining the nimbleness to face current challenges and those in the future.  He is a leader in investing in the careers of those working at the firm and constantly challenges all to think strategically and consider all points of view.

Matt began his professional career in the Pennsylvania Senate. He lobbied in Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania for an insurance trade association, and has worked on insurance and related issues for over 34 years.  He has helped clients retain lobbyists in other state capitols and his network of contacts in the business reaches well beyond the borders of the Commonwealth.

Success favors the well prepared.
